Job Purpose
This position is responsible to ensure the safety and security of BRAC field office personnel, assets, and operations by conducting regular security inspections, supporting district-level security focal persons, ensuring effective implementation of security and safety SOPs, coordinating with law enforcement and relevant government and non-government agencies, and managing the development and circulation of security-related circulars and communication materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections, security surveys, and audits of BRAC field establishments (including BLCs) to assess security status and recommend appropriate improvements.
- Develop, implement, and monitor effective security strategies, action plans, SOPs, and safety protocols to ensure the protection of BRAC personnel, assets, and operations in the field.
- Establish and maintain a robust monitoring and reporting mechanism, providing periodic and need-based site-specific security updates to supervisors and line management.
- Coordinate closely with field offices and designated security and safety focal persons, maintaining continuous communication, monitoring their actions, and providing guidance and support as require.
- Ensure proper implementation and effectiveness of guarding operations and overall security measures across BRAC establishments through regular field visits and follow-up actions.
- Build and maintain professional liaison with government law enforcement agencies and relevant government and non-government organizations to support field safety and security.
- Support programme operations by coordinating with law enforcement agencies, including preparation of GDs, FIRs, and other security-related documentation when necessary.
- Collect, analyze, and share advance information on political, social, and security situations that may affect BRAC’s day-to-day field activities, and provide timely guidance to field offices.
- Organize security training, awareness sessions, and capacity-building initiatives, and develop and disseminate security communication materials to promote compliance and understanding.
- Promote and strengthen a culture of safety and security across the organization through continuous engagement, guidance, and proactive risk management.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

- Competence of communicating HO and field managers in professional manner
- Competence of dealing with non-professional security focal persons
- Competence of dealing with the law enforcement officials in professional manner.
- Competent to travel extensively to inspect field offices
Educational Requirements
Bachelor degree in any discipline from any reputed university. Persons with law enforcement background will get preference.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience of security inspection and survey. Experience about investigation, handling criminal and security incidents and liaison with other organigations particularly security and intelligence agencies will get preference.
